Sometimes life gets in the way

There are many factors that come into play when making the decision to leave our campus as a student. Whether there is a need to leave mid-semester or transferring at the end of a semester, we are here to listen and help you understand how leaving will impact your academic credits, finances, and student loans.

Before any decisions are made, please know we are a campus who cares about your experience here. We want to have a conversation with you about the difficulties you may have or are facing whether they are academic, social or financial. Consider talking with your families, academic advisor, your coach or organization advisor to get their input. They will have a perspective to share that might be important in your decision-making. 

To begin the process of a withdrawal, please contact Vice President and Dean for Student Success, Michelle Merritt, located in the Center for Academic & Career Excellence (ACE) in Hewes library. An exit interview needs to be done in person or by telephone before the withdrawal will be processed.

Requesting to return from a previous withdraw?

Students who have previously attended Monmouth College and wish to reenter are required to submit a written request to the Office of the Registrar indicating the date and reason of initial withdrawal from the college, accomplishments during the interim period, and the term for which the student is seeking readmission. Transcripts of all college credit completed since withdrawal from Monmouth College are also required. Final approval must be granted by the Office of the Registrar prior to beginning the registration process.
