Living On Campus

Welcome to Monmouth

We are so glad you’re here.

We have all the information to help you navigate your first-year. This includes information about Housing & Meal Plans, such as room pricing, additional charges for specific rooms, meal plan pricing, and more!

If you’re not sure what to bring — we’ve got you covered. Each year the Office of Residence Life and the Office of Admission generates a packing list for new incoming students.

Live on campus all four years

As a national liberal arts college, the residential experience plays a strong role at Monmouth. There is a four-year live-on requirement for all students, unless they qualify for a commuter-status exemption.

Family housing is not offered on campus; however, there are community resources that can assist in these situations. Students would first make application to be classified as a commuter.

To request commuter status, new students should speak with the Office of Admission or their admissions counselor. Current students who want to change to commuter status should request an off-campus housing exemption request form.

Get those housing forms in

Housing sign-ups take place in the spring for returning students. Plenty of information will be provided in advance so you know your options. Don’t forget to review our housing contracts (for traditional and premium halls), which you’ll be required to submit each year.
