All investigators must submit an application to the Monmouth College IRB for approval to conduct human subjects studies.
Application for approval
You must receive written approval from the IRB, prior to engaging human subjects for research. The only exception is research conducted solely for the purpose of teaching whose findings will not be presented in any form outside the classroom.
- All researchers must meet certain ethical standards when engaging human subjects.
- The Board will make use of the information provided below to review each research proposal.
- The Board will submit approvals, requirements for changes, or disapprovals to the investigator in writing.
- Undergraduate student research project approvals are valid for one year from the date of approval unless otherwise specified.
