Biography
Beginning his Monmouth tenure in fall 2007, Logan Mayfield is a professor of computer science and serves as the chair of the College’s mathematics, statistics and computer science department. Logan completed his undergraduate coursework at DePauw (Indiana) University in 2003, earning a bachelor of arts in computer science while minoring in jazz studies. Logan earned a doctorate from the University of Cincinnati in 2012, with much of his coursework related to quantum computing and principals of quantum theory. A St. Louis native, Logan enjoys listening to music, especially rock ’n’ roll, bluegrass and jazz, and playing his electric bass guitar..
