Stacy Lotz

Biography
Stacy is a first-generation college student from the Midwest. She is a wife, mom, artist/storyteller, educator and mentor.
Before coming to Monmouth, Stacy was a sculpture teacher at a fine and performing arts camp for girls, taught at Carl Sandburg (Ill.) College and was a substitute teacher. She also worked at Busch Stadium and spent time working as a bartender and house/pet sitter.
Stacy served as a volunteer and as board president of the Galesburg Civic Art Center, where she worked to establish an annual “Kids Month” and worked to secure a National Endowment for the Arts grant to bring art to youth serving time in a juvenile detention center.
Stacy enjoys all kinds of music and working in her yard. One of her favorite movies is Roll Bounce. Stacy recently served as the College’s associate dean of academic affairs and is a recipient of the Hatch Award for Excellence in Teaching.
Interests
Stacy has a long-time interest in hybridized corn; she is interested in the significance of place and the everyday experience; and she is also intrigued by multiples in nature and in the manufactured world.
