Biography

Heather’s career began by enlisting and serving for six years with the 182nd Air National Guard, completing her basic training at Lackland Air Force Base and then earning a certificate in Information Systems at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. In addition to her monthly guard duties, Heather worked full-time as a contracting secretary for the new 182nd Air National Guard Base in Peoria that was being built at the time.

After her honorable discharge in 1996 and many years of staying home raising her children, Heather was offered a position as the Administrative Assistant at Faith United Presbyterian Church in 2003 and later added an additional title as their Youth Director where she served in both capacities for many years, resigning from both in 2012.

In January 2013, she began her new position at Monmouth College as the Administrative Assistant for Jacquelyn Condon, Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students.

Heather now serves as the Student Success Coordinator and Assistant to the Vice President and Dean for Student Success under Michelle Merritt whom she’s worked closely with for a number of years.

Monmouth College & You

My husband and I just live a hop, skip and a jump away from campus so when students move back in the fall, we know it! Their arrival to campus brings so much excitement to our community here in Monmouth.

My experience as a member of the campus community will look a little differently this year as I navigate not having my own student enrolled here. This past spring our youngest twin daughters graduated from Monmouth College to join the ranks with their older sister who graduated in 2019 and served as their Orientation Leader her senior year as they were coming in.
