Emily grew up in Geneseo, IL, before moving to Monmouth in the fall of 2019 to purse her degree from Monmouth College.

During her four years at Monmouth College, Emily was on the women’s tennis team, a member of the senior class gift committee, and a student worker for the Marketing & Communications Department as well as the Office of Development & College Relations.

Emily resides in Galesburg, IL with her significant other, Tylor Miller ’22, and their Mastador (mastiff and black lab mix), Maya. 

Monmouth College has held a special place in my heart for over the past decade. My first visit to campus was back in 2012 to see my cousin, Breanna (Hoepfner) Ward ’16. I accumulated many more visits when my other cousin, Logan Hoepfner ’19 started attending Monmouth as well. With each return I made to the college, my desire to become a Scot grew stronger. I knew there was no other place I was meant to be. I followed in my cousins’ footsteps, which then led to my brother, Thomas Henson ’26, doing the same.

The experiences, relationships, and memories Monmouth College has given my family and myself are ones that will never be forgotten!
