Biography

Doug Rankin is a Monmouth native and a 1979 Monmouth graduate. He received his MFA in theatre design from Northwestern University. He has designed scenery, lighting and costumes for hundreds of productions throughout the Midwest. His scenery designs include two designs for Tony Award-winning director Frank Galati.

Interests

Doug is a history buff, including Victorian history and architecture. He has been restoring an 1882 Queen Anne home for more than 30 years. In addition, he is a bicycling enthusiast and logs well over 1,000 miles per year.
