I grew up on a farm in central Illinois and attended Midwest Central High School in Manito Illinois. I stayed close to home and attended Bradley (Illinois) University for my undergraduate degree.
After receiving my bachelor’s degree, I spent seven years as an Air Force officer working as a dietitian. I was stationed in Washington, D.C., San Antonio and Charleston, South Carolina.
I came to Monmouth after finishing my graduate education to start the exercise science program. I live in Monmouth with my wife and two boys.
My interests include most sports, combat sports, strength sports, and martial arts. My current pursuits include non-exercise movement, natural movement and movement culture, and martial arts.
