Monmouth & You

Hello! My name is Cullen Marshall, and I’m a senior transfer student! I also serve as a transfer student peer mentor on campus.

I’m from Kewanee, Illinois, where I attended Kewanee High School. I earned my associate’s degree from Black Hawk College (East Campus) before transferring to Monmouth in fall 2020 as a junior. Since coming to campus I’ve gotten involved in the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, Interfraternity Council, Mortar Board Senior Honor Society, Order of Omega Greek Honor Society, the Title IX and D.E.I. Peer Educator Program, the Orientation Leader program, and also some theatre productions. I’m a biology major with minors in business administration and educational studies.

Like I said before, I also serve a Transfer Student Peer Mentor. My job is basically to advocate for and promote better programming and resources for transfer students. I also act as a non-academic peer advisor to provide assistance regarding academics, leadership opportunities, and career planning. My overall goal in this position is to help foster a sense of community and aid in transfer students’ seamless integration into campus life!

I’m extremely appreciative of my time here at Monmouth. It has truly become a second home where I’ve been able to find my chosen family. I can confidently say that the friendships and connections I’ve made here have had a profound impact on my life and will endure for years to come.
