Young adult literature author Faith Harkey visited Monmouth College in September as part of the Monmouth College rural teacher corps program, the TARTANS. Harkey, who lives in Tallahassee, Fla., is the author of Genuine Sweet, published in 2016, and Sneak Thief, published in 2018. During her visit, Harkey did a writing workshop with sixth graders at Central Intermediate School in Monmouth, she spoke to several classes in the Educational Studies and English Departments, and she discussed teaching in rural areas with the TARTANS.
