New Student Walkout

Monmouth College’s new students were joined by Jeff Draves, far left, and Monmouth President Patricia Draves on the 2024 New Student Walkout on Aug. 19. The activity, which dates back to about 75 years, introduces Monmouth’s new students to the area’s merchants, churches and organizations. This year’s walkout, which included an escort from the Monmouth Police, started at the Center for Science and Business, proceeded down East Broadway to the Public Square, then down two blocks on South Main Street before winding back to campus.
