Monmouth Named One of Top 10 Colleges in Illinois

Ranking by WalletHub evaluates more than 30 areas, including career outcomes, cost, financing and student selectivity.

MONMOUTH, Ill. — Monmouth College has been named one of the top 10 colleges in Illinois by WalletHub.

The survey of Illinois’ more than 100 colleges and universities reviewed 30 key indicators, which included career outcomes, cost, financing and student selectivity. Monmouth was ranked No. 9 in the list, which was led by Northwestern University.

“When you’re recognized in the top 10% of a state’s higher educational institutions, it means you’re doing something right,” said Monmouth Dean of the Faculty Mark Willhardt. “Our care for the whole student from arrival through graduation — every class, every practice, every performance and every success — is a testament to a college thriving.”

Monmouth Vice President for Enrollment Management Stephanie Levenson said that the College’s transformative educational experience within a caring community of learners stands out to prospective students and their families.
