MONMOUTH, Ill. – Veteran higher education enrollment leader Stephanie Levenson has been named Monmouth College vice president for enrollment management.

“Stephanie provides a great mixture of deep tactical knowledge, analytical skills and broad strategic sense that will contribute strongly to recruiting students, retaining them more effectively, and supporting our mission of changing the arc of students’ lives,” said Monmouth President Clarence R. Wyatt.

STEPHANIE LEVENSON: “I was immediately attracted to Monmouth's beautiful and historic campus, strong academic offerings and commitment to serve a diverse community, including first-generation college students like myself.”As vice president for enrollment management, Levenson will oversee the College’s Admission Office and Office of Student Financial Planning.

Levenson, who was most recently vice president for enrollment management at John Carroll University in suburban Cleveland, said she was drawn to Monmouth because of its strong mission and academic programs.

“I am thrilled to join the Monmouth College community and serve under President Wyatt,” she said. “The opportunity to collaborate with faculty, staff, trustees, alumni and students to bring future generations of Scots to Monmouth was one that I could not pass up.”

Levenson said that “from my first interview with the search committee to my visit to campus, I felt at home” at Monmouth.

“I was immediately attracted to Monmouth’s beautiful and historic campus, strong academic offerings and commitment to serve a diverse community, including first-generation college students like myself,” she said. “The passion and commitment to providing Monmouth students an extraordinary experience was evident from every single person I encountered on campus.”

Levenson said she was familiar with Monmouth and its strong reputation from working with several Monmouth alumni.

“Over the years, I have hired Monmouth graduates, so I am familiar firsthand with the power of a Monmouth education and what the College means to its alumni,” she said.

“The passion and commitment to providing Monmouth students an extraordinary experience was evident from every single person I encountered on campus.”

A native of Decatur, Illinois, Levenson earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology and criminology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a master’s degree in higher education administration from Loyola University of Chicago. She and her husband, Marc, have three children.
