Welcome Aboard

Four Monmouth College graduates join their alma mater’s Alumni Board.

MONMOUTH, Ill. – Monmouth College has welcomed four new members to its Alumni Board of Directors.

The Alumni Board supports the Monmouth College Alumni Association – the body of all former Monmouth students who have completed at least two semesters of academic work. They are elected from nominations submitted by or solicited from alumni and members of the College administration. The board meets twice a year – in the spring and in the fall, around Homecoming.

Among the four new members, three decades are represented – Daniel Dickson ’89 of Southlake, Texas; Angelo Shaw ’95 of St. Louis; Sara Frakes Reinhardt ’14 of Irmo, South Carolina; and Tessa Jones ’18 of Galesburg, Illinois.

Additionally, he is a professional musician, performing at private and public events on the saxophone. A volunteer with the United Way and Salvation Army, Shaw plans to publish his first novel later this year.

Reinhardt works at the University of South Carolina-Columbia, where she analyzes admissions, enrollment and post-graduation outcomes data to provide trends for the school’s dean of admissions and its board of trustees. She holds a master’s degree in education with a concentration on higher education administration from the University of South Carolina. Reinhardt is an active member of Union United Methodist Church in Irmo and is also active with the American Heart Association. She is hopeful that her research into and analytic understanding of both higher education and secondary education will help her give back to Monmouth as an Alumni Board member.
