Congrats to Political Science Award Winners!

Many amazing political science students receive awards.

Political Science is lucky to have so many fantastic students. At today’s Honor’s Convocation our department awarded Brock Crippen, Rhoda Tchorly, and Zach Vancil the Political Science Award for Outstanding Work. Alexandra Chamberlin and Elizabeth Morales were both awarded our Kenneth E. Critter Memorial Scholarship in recognition of their interests in service. And Esmeralda Baltierra-Chavez was awarded the Ira Smolensky Prize, recognizing her work in political science.

Our majors and minors won awards in other departments as well, including Matthew Datlof (Business & Economics), Joe Doner (French, International Studies), Shay Hafner (Computer Science), Erin Henkel (Communication Studies, Philosophy & Religious Studies), Madison Hull (Global Perspectives Waid Prize), Clayton Schulenberg (Biology), and Andrew Shie (Business & Economics). 

We are also proud of our student leaders. Abierre Minor was awarded the Charles & Ruth Huseman Award for the senior who best exemplifies service to others. Joe Doner is our Lincoln Academy of Illinois Student Laureate. Our own Rodolfo de Jesus Garcia received a leadership award for his work with the ZBT fraternity on April 8th.
