Screen Time and Mental Health
During this pandemic it has been extremely easy to be on your phone, watching television, or playing video games for long periods of time. This is extremely true for those that have endured being in quarantine. Though technology has given us a great way to communicate with others and as a route to express our feelings, if used poorly it could negatively impact your mental health. An article published by USA Today says that a good way to know if your interactions with your phone are healthy is to perform a mental wellness check on yourself, which includes asking some serious questions. How does this time in front of a screen make me feel? Is it bringing me relaxation and joy, or is it causing stress and anxiety? Truthfully answering these questions will let you know how screen time is impacting your mental health.
