- Mel Delbridge ’23, Theatre Education major, played Mrs. Gottlieb in Dead Man’s Cell Phone, produced by the Theatre Department in Fall 2020.
- Dead Man’s Cell Phone program, produced in Fall 2020.
Educational Studies students are involved across campus and it’s not unusual to find them somewhere other than in their ed studies classrooms.
Math major with 9-12 teacher licensure student Kenny Broge and Theatre Education major Mel Delbridge each played roles in the Theatre Department’s recent production of Dead Man’s Cell Phone. Kenny played the role of Gordon (the dead man!), and Mel played the role of Mrs. Gottlieb, Gordon’s mother.
In some ways, teaching isn’t unlike performing. Good teachers are entertaining and command attention. Kenny and Mel are developing valuable teaching skills while doing something they love.
