Maher Chosen to Lead Development Efforts
MONMOUTH, Ill. – Hannah Maher has been named Vice President for Development and College Relations at Monmouth College.
Most recently the College’s interim vice president for development and college relations, Maher has served the College’s development efforts in a number of capacities since 2010, including as associate vice president for development and college relations and director of alumni engagement.
Maher said she feels fortunate to be a member of the Monmouth community.
“It has been a blessing to work for Monmouth College for nearly a decade,” Maher said. “The work I get to share in every day is a true joy – seeing our alumni connect back to the pivotal time in their personal development at Monmouth, helping our donors achieve their philanthropic goals and seeing the impact our alumni and friends are making on today’s current students is truly inspiring.”
Maher’s responsibilities include leading the residential liberal arts college’s development efforts, which include alumni relations, major gifts and the annual fund.
“In my time as a trustee, I have been impressed with Hannah’s hard work, dedication, and intelligence,” said John Kemp, a 1982 Monmouth graduate and chair of the Board of Trustees Development Committee. “She is an excellent choice for this position, and I am looking forward to working together with her to engage the College’s alumni, parents, friends and others in supporting Monmouth even more fully and effectively.”
Monmouth is in the midst of “Light This Candle: The Campaign for Monmouth College,” which aims to raise a minimum of $75 million for the College’s endowment by Dec. 31, 2022.
“There are still many chapters to be written in our success story, and I’m thrilled to be able to work next to some of the most ambitious individuals in the College’s history to continue this work and ensure Monmouth’s future is even stronger tomorrow,” Maher said.
Maher has a bachelor of science degree in interdisciplinary studies from Western Illinois University. She and her husband, Jeff, have two children: Crowley and Cannedy.
