Next Maple Leaf concert is tribute to Neil Diamond
Neil Diamond’s timeless hits will be featured at the next Maple Leaf Community Concert Series event, hosted by Monmouth College.
Denny Diamond & The Jewels will pay tribute to the legendary performer on March 15 at 7 p.m. in the Kasch Performance Hall of Dahl Chapel and Auditorium. Single-performance tickets are $30 at the door. Students are admitted free. More information about tickets is available by calling the Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce at 309-734-3181.
Denny Diamond’s shows focus on the remarkable vocals and masterful musicianship from a repertoire that often includes music from Broadway, popular decades like the ’40s, ’50s and ’60s, country classics and new country. After capturing the attention of the Dick Clark-produced, talent-seeking TV show “Your Big Break,” his career focus was confirmed, and he has since became a sought-after performer. The veteran entertainer will come to Monmouth after shows the week before in New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma and Kansas.
The Maple Leaf Community Concert Series has presented internationally-acclaimed talent to the Monmouth community since 1992. An all-volunteer nonprofit organization, the MLCCS is committed to enriching the cultural life of the community through live performances. Through the generosity of annual individual and business donations, and the support of Monmouth College, the concerts are offered at family-friendly prices.
