Award-winning McCadden to be on campus; public event is March 14
Award-winning poet Kerrin McCadden will present a reading at Monmouth College on March 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the Pattee Auditorium of the Center for Science and Business. The event is free and open to the public.
McCadden is the author of “Landscape with Plywood Silhouettes,” winner of the 2013 New Issues Poetry Prize and the Vermont Book Award for 2015. “She brings a voice full of poetic energy and wisdom to the page and to her audiences,” said David Wright, assistant professor of English at Monmouth College, who will host McCadden in his classes while she is on campus.
McCadden holds an MFA from The Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College. She lives in Plainfield, Vt., and has taught English at Montpelier High School for the past 20 years.
