The Parent & Family Council helps.
We’re here for you
Monmouth College Parent and Family Council members serve in a variety of roles — helping with admissions efforts, promoting student professional development and encouraging support of the College. As an advisory board, the council cultivates communications between Monmouth parents and families and the broader College community.
The council meets formally on campus once per year during Family Weekend. Virtual calls are held at least one a semester with campus leaders.
The council connects parents and families with the College community by providing opportunities at events or through social media for families to share their experience with other Monmouth parents in effort to improve student outcomes.
Council members are invited to share their professional experience with students, share internship and job opportunities from professional networks, and connect Monmouth students with graduate programs.
Support the College
Parent & Family Council members: set a positive tone and create enthusiasm for the Monmouth Fund; make an annual financial gift to the College; solicit a select group of identified parents for leadership support via emails, phone calls and/or in-person conversation; and serve as Monmouth ambassadors in their community by helping with the College’s recruitment efforts.
Fundraising projects have a positive impact on student life at Monmouth.
In 2018-19, the council exceeded its goal of $8,500 to purchase additional Scots Cruisers bicycles, raising more than 10,500.
In 2019-21, the council raised funds to purchase additional water bottle fillers and an outdoor WiFi hotspot.
