To apply for the Monmouth-OSF 3+1 Nursing Program:

  • First, submit your application for admission to Monmouth College and choose your accelerated major (biology, biopsychology or health science and human movement). Please be sure to select the “accelerated” option to indicate your interest in the Monmouth-OSF 3+1 Nursing Program.
  • Submit all required documents, such as an official high school transcript. If applying with official test scores (Monmouth College is proudly a test-optional school), request official SAT or ACT test scores to be sent to Monmouth College. (Official high school transcripts that include test scores will be considered official test scores).
  • While there is no difference in admission requirements to any Monmouth College academic program, we recommend that students applying for admission to the nursing program have a 3.0/4.0 grade point average at the time of application and complete a college preparatory curriculum that includes at least two years of laboratory science (biology and chemistry preferred).
  • Applicants with a recommended 3.25/4.0 grade point average may be eligible for the Early Admission program through Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing, which guarantees your space in the BSN program during your fourth year and gives you access to an academic advisor to develop your plan of study and your career.
  • Once enrolled at Monmouth College, you must maintain a 3.0/4.0 grade point average in your chosen major affiliated with the nursing program: biology, biopsychology, or health science and human movement.
  • For students admitted to the Early Admission program; the 3.0/4.0 GPA requirement is needed to maintain your spot in the BSN program.
  • For all other students, you can apply to the Accelerated BSN program through Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing as soon as you complete 7.50 course credits (30 semester hours) at Monmouth College; a 3.0/4.0 grade point average of your Monmouth College coursework is required (in one of the majors affiliated with the 3+1 program).
