Chorale
We bring together nearly every major to make beautiful music.
The Monmouth Chorale, directed by Tim Pahel, serves as an ambassador to alumni, prospective students and the general public. We give students well-rounded musical experiences with high expectations for performance and competency.
Sisterhood (and brotherhood) of the traveling chorale
We’ve toured extensively nationally and internationally. We’ve sung in nearly half of the states in the nation, including performances at Carnegie Hall in 2013 and 2018. Internationally, we’ve sung in Spain, Italy, Austria and the Czech Republic.
Chorale collaborations
We frequently collaborate with other campus ensembles, such as our concert choir for performances of masterworks. We have combined with the Galesburg Community Chorus, the Knox College Choir and professional orchestra and soloists for a performance of Mozart’s Requiem.
Recent commissions include works composed for the group by Joan Szymko, Jaakko Mäntyjärvi and Donna Gartman Schulz.
