Learn anatomy in virtual reality
Our anatomy and physiology classes use virtual reality stations to help students explore the heart and other organs up close- magic school bus style! Exploring the human body in VR can deepen students understanding of the cardiovascular, respiratory and circulatory systems, and how movement and exercise impact the human body.
Introduction to Health Careers class
Designed to inform students about career choices in the health professions, this class also reviews expectations and requirements for successful applicants to professional school and features guest speakers and hands-on activities such as suturing and blood pressure checks.
Graduate and professional school prep
A career in health sciences usually requires study beyond the undergraduate level. While this major is ideal for students interested in graduate study in chiropractic medicine, athletic training, occupational therapy, or physical therapy, Monmouth also offers pathways for physician assistant, medicine, pharmacy and several other healthcare programs.
Our professors are well-versed at helping students prepare graduate and professional school applications, study for admission exams, craft a CV, and compile research experience.
