  • 9 credits in a combination of LATN, GREK, and CLAS are required for this major. 7 of those must be in LATN and GREK.

Additional Notes:

  1. FYQR 110 or a QR waiver are also acceptable for the FYQR Core Foundations requirement.
  2. If LATN and/or GREK 101/102 are waived, then there will be adjustments to plan above.
  3. GREK 101/102 is offered every two or three years. CLLA majors should enroll in the course when it is available.
  4. CLAS 235/335 is offered every two or three years, CLLA majors should enroll in the course when it is available. Speak with a Classics professor to determine whether 235 or 335 is more appropriate.
  5. CLAS 210/310 and CLAS 230/330 are CLLA major electives that meet the Artistic Inquiry and the Global Learning Core requirement.
  6. CLAS 130 and CLAS 240/340 are CLAS major electives that meet the Inquiry in the Humanities and the Global Learning Core requirements.

  Guidelines for Core Requirements:

  • Core Foundations area courses – to be completed in the first year.
  • Core Inquiry area courses – recommended to complete one each year.
    • At least one Inquiry course is offered within the major requirements.
  • Core Engagement area courses – recommended to complete one each year.
    • Check if an Engagement course is offered within the major requirements.
