Requirements

Students interested in a career in Athletic Training must attend an Athletic Training graduate program. Those pursuing admission into athletic training programs must complete specific prerequisite courses, but a specific major is not required. Most students major in Exercise Science.

The following courses are the most likely to be recommended or required for Athletic Training graduate schools. These prerequisite courses vary by school. Students are encouraged to consider their specific list of graduate programs in order to work with an advisor to formulate a customized four-year plan.
