Each and every club should always have some means of independently raising funds written into their constitution, whether it be through membership dues or some other method. Registered and recognized organizations can apply to additional funds through the Scots Student Senate.
After you’ve completed the initial steps such as getting an advisor, getting the minimum membership, and figuring out the organization of your club, then you should contact the Scots Student Senate Parliamentarian and Cullen Marshall in order to move forward in the registration process.
Yes, each club at Monmouth must have an advisor that is a Faculty or Staff member.
Feel free to create as many positions in your organization as you’d like and that you think your organization needs/can support. There should be at least 5 executive officer positions; president, vice-president, treasurer, Student Senator, and secretary.
An organization must have at least 10 registered members to qualify for recognition as an organization.
Yes, a constitution is absolutely essential and acts as the guiding document for your club, it should include some kind of statement regarding your goals and the mission of your club. In addition to that, it needs to lay out how your organization is organized and what responsibilities lay where.
