Senior Ed Wimp does not miss an opportunity to set himself apart. In pursuit of his dream to practice law in the entertainment industry, Ed is gaining experience this summer by touring with the band Earth, Wind, and Fire. How did Ed land such a one-in-a-million opportunity? He credits his Monmouth experience. “The liberal arts classes have given me a diverse education so I can talk about a lot of different things knowledgeably.” Ed went on to say how MC has prepared him for the field of entertainment law. From music industry jargon to business acumen, the classes that Ed has taken have already helped him beat out other candidates competing for opportunities in the “real world.”
As Ed marches toward graduation, he reflects on his first years at Monmouth. Like many students from urban areas, Ed found the transition from big city life to Monmouth to be a struggle at first. However, he soon realized how easy it was to get involved at MC. For example, Ed is an active member of Zeta Beta Tau and has served in various leadership positions within his chapter and Interfraternal Council, an activity he would have never considered at another school. Overall, Ed thinks attending a smaller school, like MC, has shaped who he is today and given him experiences to build a successful future.
