“I have always had a love for music and children,” explained Kevin Breweur. “What better of a major than music with education certification?”
Breweur has a wide range of musical talent and he participates in two ensembles on campus, Wind Ensemble and Percussion. He is also a member of the Fighting Scots Marching Band during the fall semester.
“Monmouth College offers tons of opportunities, activities and groups to get involved with,” Breweur noted. “Get really involved whenever possible.”
Most of all, “I love planning different events with the organizations I’m involved with. It creates a sense of accomplishment to see the results of our efforts,” he stated.
Speaking of accomplishments, Breweur, a music scholarship recipient, has also attended the Music Educator National Convention and is a member of the education honors society, Kappa Delta Pi.
“The most memorable things at MC are the debates in my education classes,” said Breweur of his classroom experiences. “They were tons of fun for everyone”
Breweur offers the advice to students to “always try to be helpful to faculty, staff, and fellow students, because it will come back to you at Monmouth.”
