Senior Fannetta Jones of Chicago, IL has been involved in a wide variety of extracurricular activities during her time at Monmouth College. A member of the Coalition for Ethic Awareness, SULCI, Monmouth Choir, Mortar Board National Honors Society, Kappa Delta Pi, Resident Assistant, Intercultural Life Student Leader, Scot Ambassador, University of Illinois Educators’ Association, secretary of Sigma Tau Delta, and a member of the President’s Student Advisory Council, Jones has a full plate. An English and secondary education major, Jones plans to teach at Galesburg High School after graduation and continue a career in teaching high school English. Jones believes that her experience at Monmouth College has helped her “learn a new meaning to ‘diversity’ and a particular type of culture in a rural area. It has opened my eyes to what it really means to be well-rounded and cultured in general.”
