Worship

Chapel Services are held every Monday during the academic year in Dahl Chapel from 12:10-12:40pm.  Students, staff, faculty, and members of the community are welcome to attend these ecumenical worship services. Special Worship Services are held throughout the year such as Christmas Convocation, Ash Wednesday, and Baccalaureate Services.

Faith-Based Service

Students are encouraged to put their faith into action by getting involved with our Faith-Based Service Team.  This team mobilizes students to serve the Monmouth community through a variety of local ministries and non-profit organizations.  To get involved contact the Chaplain at teriott@monmouthcollege.edu or *2380.
Faith-Bases Alternative Spring Break 
 
The Office of Religious and Spiritual Life sponsors an annual faith-based alternative spring break trip to provide students with a wide-range of experience in areas such as urban ministry, interfaith ministry, boarder ministry, disaster-relief work, poverty immersion experiences, and international service. 
 
LUX Church and Religious Leadership Program

The mission of the LUX Program is to nurture and equip students for the unique challenges of church and religious leadership in the 21st Century.
 
  • Religious Life Interns

    Each year the Chaplain selects students to serve as Religious Life Interns.  These interns will gain experience in worship planning and leadership, program development, group development, and teaching.  Each intern’s experience is tailored to his or her interests.  They will also spend time reading, writing, and reflecting on his or her vocation.  Contact the Chaplain if you are interested in applying to be a Religious Life Intern.

  • Church and Religious Leadership Dinner and Speaker

    Students identified as interested in ministry or religious leadership are invited to a catered dinner featuring a prominent religious leader.

  • Worship Team

    The Chaplain recruits a group of students to help plan and lead the weekly chapel services, special worship services, and church services within the community and the presbytery.
