The Office of Religious and Spiritual Life exists to nurture religious and spiritual life and foster the healthy religious and spiritual development of the college community and its individual members.

Vision

The Office of Religious and Spiritual Life creates opportunities for religious and spiritual exploration, discussion, and development which provide openings for individuals and groups on campus to share in religious and spiritual growth, expand mutual understanding, and engage with members of the community at large through programming and faith-based service activities.

Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)

Monmouth College was founded in 1853 by Scotch-Irish Presbyterians who wanted to train a well-educated clergy and encourage a comprehensive, liberal arts education for all.  Honoring this Christian heritage, Monmouth College maintains its affiliation with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and reflects the PCUSA’s commitment to ecumenism and diversity by valuing students and faculty members from all denominations, faiths, religious and non-religious backgrounds.
