'Global Governance'

Associate academic dean Bren Tooley will introduce the topic “Global Governance” at Monmouth College’s next Great Decisions program on March 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the Tartan Room of the Stockdale Center.

International cooperation subjects political leaders to an ongoing test of balancing national needs with a commitment to building a durable international order. The forum will explore how an increasingly interconnected and shrinking world has affected the viability of existing agreements and institutions. It will also address what economic, social, political and security concerns are currently on the agendas of intergovernmental bodies, and what is the future role of the United States.

Following Tooley’s opening remarks, there will be approximately one hour of group discussion.

Great Decisions is a nationwide program sponsored by the Foreign Policy Association, a non-partisan, non-governmental association that works to increase Americans’ understanding of significant foreign policy issues.
