The Afrikan-centered theatre troupe MPAACT will perform “Looking Black: Questions of Identity in America” on Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. in Monmouth College’s Wells Theater. Free and open to the public, the performance is sponsored by the college’s office of intercultural life.
According to director and producer Reggie Lawrence, the ensemble of performers “wish to gaze at our reflection and examine who is looking black.”
MPAACT is a not-for-profit theatre founded in 1990 at the University of Illinois.
