Homecoming royalty

Monmouth College’s Homecoming was held Oct. 15-17, and four students comprised the annual Homecoming court.

Seniors Kristen Wyse of Woodstock and Ben Morrow of East Peoria were elected queen and king.

Juniors Danielle Kita of Oak Lawn and Gavin Halpin of Pittsfield were elected princess and prince.

The four winners were announced at the annual Spirit Shout. The next day, they rode in the traditional Homecoming parade and were recognized during halftime of the football game.

A history and classics major, Wyse is the daughter of Thomas and Denise Wyse of Woodstock.

A educational studies major, Morrow is the son of Harold and Mary Anne Morrow of East Peoria.

A pre-medicine major, Kita is the daughter of Donald and Karen Kita of Oak Lawn.

A communication studies major, Halpin is the son of Tim and Nancy Halpin of Pittsfield.
