The Maple Leaf Community Concert Series will kick off its 21st season September 27 at 7 p.m. at Monmouth College’s Dahl Chapel with a performance by The Chicago Brass Quintet.
The ensemble has been performing to acclaim throughout North and South America, Europe and Asia for the past 40 years. They have brought the Chicago sound -- “technical brilliance, taut ensemble, flashy programming and a touch of humor” -- to audiences world-wide. Their eclectic repertoire often ranges from Vivaldi and Bach to Phillip Glass, Richard Rogers and Dizzy Gillespie within a single performance.
By special arrangement, all MC faculty, staff and students are admitted free with college ID, which must be presented at the door.
