Danielle Nierenberg ’95 is a senior researcher at Worldwatch Institute, a Washington D.C.-based environmental research organization. An expert on livestock and sustainability, she spent much of 2010 in Africa, researching innovations in agriculture as part of a Worldwatch project she directed titled “State of the World 2011” (
