Monmouth College’s 2014 Great Decisions discussion series will conclude with the topic “U.S. Trade Policy” on March 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the Pattee Auditorium of the Center for Science and Business.
Political science professor Ira Smolensky will lead the forum, which is free and open to the public. Discussion will center on America’s “sales pitch” of promoting democracy and the free market to obtain valuable and stable partners, both in business and in diplomacy. In competition for this global influence are China and other emerging nations.
Great Decisions is a nationwide program sponsored by the Foreign Policy Association, a non-partisan, non-governmental association that works to increase Americans’ understanding of significant foreign policy issues.
