The Maple Leaf Community Series will continue on Thursday, Dec. 12, with “Songs of the Season … with a Twist,” featuring Maureen Christine. The holiday-themed concert will begin at 7 p.m. in the Kasch Performance Hall of Monmouth College’s Dahl Chapel and Auditorium.
Tickets are $25 at the door for the program, which will include singalongs, interesting narratives about the songs and their history and a surprise audience participation number. There is no charge to Monmouth College students and other holders of a Monmouth ID.
Christine will sing popular holiday selections, such as “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town” and “Winter Wonderland,” as well as sacred Christmas songs, including “Silent Night” and “Angels We Have Heard on High.”
A celebrated concert vocalist and national recording artist, Christine has delighted audiences throughout the country with her “natural, melodious, expressive voice.” She has shared the stage with Barry Manilow and is in demand as a national anthem singer, including frequent performances in her home base of Chicago, where she has headlined at The Palmer House and The Royal George Cabaret Theater, among other venues.
