Miller to be honored by Monmouth College for distinguished service

MONMOUTH, Ill. – An accomplished professional who also goes above and beyond for his alma mater, Jeff Miller ’84 will be honored by Monmouth College with its Distinguished Service Award.

Since 2007, Miller has been a member of the Monmouth College Alumni Board. He has served as both vice president and president, presiding at all meetings of the board and the executive committee. While serving on numerous committees, Miller was instrumental in leading the board through a strategic planning process and took pride in representing the board and the Alumni Association at several College events.

His “loyal support for his alma mater” and “unwavering willingness to serve in any capacity asked” were both cited by his nominator for the College’s service award.

A versatile, high-performing professional with more than 15 years of exceptional contributions in corporate procurement, Miller is a global category manager for Archer Daniels Midland. He joined ADM in 2013 after a successful six-year stint at Rolls-Royce Corporation. His performance record at both companies shows that he is a self-motivated leader who consistently builds cross-functional teams and surpasses expectations.

Miller’s job takes him away from home most days, but he takes pride in staying involved in civic and professional organizations. He serves on the Institute of Supply Management Central Indiana Board of Directors, currently in the role of board secretary. He has also served as a board member for the Circle City Curling Club, promoting the sport of curling and managing club activities.

Miller will be honored, along with several other award recipients, at 6 p.m. Nov. 3 in the Mellinger Commons of the Center for Science and Business as part of the College’s Homecoming festivities. For more information about the weekend or to register, go to:
