Monmouth College to host annual Cultural Festival

The cuisines and cultures of more than a dozen countries will be celebrated Sept. 21, as Monmouth College hosts its 19th Annual Cultural Festival.
Featuring free food, entertainment and exhibits from around the world, the festival will be held from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. on the college’s Dunlap Terrace.
Entertainment will be provided by several Monmouth College groups, including the Umoja step dancers and Colorful Voices of Praise. There will also be mariachi music and “Gangnam Style” performances.
“The Cultural Festival is a great opportunity for the campus community and local residents to enjoy good food and entertainment and find out what’s new with student clubs and organizations,” said Ruby Pentsil-Bukari the college’s director of intercultural life.
Countries represented will include Austria, Canada, Costa Rica, France, Ghana, India, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, South Korea, Syria, Turkmenistan and the United States.
In the event of rain, the festival will be moved indoors to the nearby Stockdale Center.
