Skrivseth to talk basketball at next Monmouth Associates

Barry McNamara
Monmouth College men’s basketball coach Todd Skrivseth will present the next Monmouth Associates luncheon program on Dec. 15 at noon in the Whiteman-McMillan Highlander Room of the college’s Stockdale Center.

Skrivseth was hired to take the Fighting Scots basketball program last April. He had been at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater since 2001, most recently as the Warhawks’ top assistant coach. The 1996 graduate of Coe College had also served as an assistant at UW-Stevens Point and Upper Iowa University.

Skrivseth, who posted his first MC win on Dec. 7 in double-overtime at Illinois College, will discuss the current Fighting Scots season, as well as his plans for the future of the men’s basketball program.

The monthly Associates program is free; a buffet lunch costs $10. Reservations can be made by calling 309-457-2316 by Dec. 13 or by e-mail at

A free shuttle van transports passengers from two locations to every Associates luncheon. The van will stop at the Faith United Presbyterian Church parking lot at 11:45 a.m. and at the northeast quadrant of the Public Square at approximately 11:50 a.m. It will return to both locations immediately following the program. Shuttle reservations should be made by calling the above number.
