Trubeck '68 named CFO

William Trubeck ’68, vice chairman of the Monmouth College Board of Trustees, has been named interim executive vice president and chief financial officer of YRC Worldwide Inc., a Fortune 500 company headquartered in Overland Park, Kan.

Since 1994, Trubeck has been a board member at YRC Worldwide, a leading provider of transportation and global logistics services. He has more than 30 years experience in executive leadership positions for Fortune 500 companies including specific experience as the CFO at H&R Block, Waste Management and International Multi-Foods. In addition, he has led a variety of restructuring efforts during his career.

“We are extremely fortunate to have a person of Bill’s executive experience and capability, as well as a long-term member of our board, step into this interim role as CFO,” said John Lamar, YRC Worldwide’s chief restructuring officer. “We fully expect him to play an important role in completing the final steps in the restructuring efforts of YRCW.”

After graduating with his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Monmouth, Trubeck earned a master’s degree in that field from the University of Connecticut. He has served in various corporate director positions including WellCare Health Plans, Dynegy, Ceridian Corporation and The Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines.
