Science faculty to lead Great Decisions, Associates

Science faculty members Eric Todd and Tim Tibbetts will each be featured in a campus event in the coming week.

On Wednesday, March 21, Todd will lead the final Great Decisions discussion forum of the semester at 7:30 p.m. in the Tartan Room of the Stockdale Center. On Thursday, March 22, Tibbetts will speak about the college’s LeSuer Nature Preserve at the monthly Monmouth Associates luncheon at 12 noon in the Whiteman-McMillan Highlander Room of the Stockdale Center.

Following Todd’s opening remarks on “Energy Geopolitics,” there will be approximately one hour of group discussion. Todd will address issues related to the changing energy landscape and what it means for national and global economies in 2012. The weekly Great Decisions discussion forums are free and open to the public.

Tibbetts, an associate professor of biology, will provide an update on recent restoration and research activities at the college’s 16.5-acre nature preserve.
