Hayley Mills, a recent graduate of Monmouth College, will introduce the topic “NATO” at the next Great Decisions program on Feb. 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the Whiteman-McMillan Highlander Room of the college’s Stockdale Center.
Mills will ask how the agenda of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) has evolved since its inception during the Cold War. With its military commitment in Afghanistan winding down and a recent successful campaign in Libya, what are the alliance’s present-day security challenges?
Following opening remarks by Mills, there will be approximately one hour of group discussion.
Great Decisions is a nationwide program sponsored by the Foreign Policy Association, a non-partisan, non-governmental association that works to increase Americans’ understanding of significant foreign policy issues.
