The second installment of Monmouth College’s senior art exhibit is on display through May 5 in the Len G. Everett Gallery of Hewes Library.

Titled “Arresting Attention,” the exhibit features the works of senior art majors Hillary Broms of Peoria, Sarah Kindt of Bolingbrook, Gina McCoy of Colona and Patrick Messenger of Galesburg. A reception for the artists will be held on April 17 at 1 p.m., and a gallery talk will be held on April 18 at 4:15 p.m.

Broms’ work is in mixed media, with a theme focusing on farm animals, while Kindt is displaying some of the props and costume work she created for the Crimson Masque’s recent production of “The Tempest.” Colorful acrylic paintings by McCoy and ink and acrylic work by Messenger round out the exhibit.

The Everett Gallery is open Mondays through Thursdays, 7:30 a.m. to midnight; Fridays, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays, noon to midnight.
