Monmouth College’s Steve Bloomer will introduce the topic “U.S. National Security” at the next Great Decisions program on Jan. 26 at 7:30 p.m. in the Tartan Room of the college’s Stockdale Center.

Bloomer, a 1983 Monmouth graduate and a retired Army colonel, returned to his alma mater in 2007 as a senior development officer after serving as the chief of staff for the Iowa Army National Guard. Following his opening remarks, there will be approximately one hour of group discussion.

Great Decisions is a nationwide program sponsored by the Foreign Policy Association, a non-partisan, non-governmental association that works to increase Americans’ understanding of significant foreign policy issues.
