VITA program to go on break, return March 13

Following Monmouth College’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) session on March 1, the free tax preparation and filing service will undergo a brief hiatus during the College’s spring break.
VITA will return on March 13, with sessions being held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from then until April 12.
The Monday and Wednesday sessions are from 4 – 7 p.m., with Saturday sessions going from 9 – noon and from 1 – 4 p.m.
The tax service is available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Center for Science and Business, 720 E. Broadway. Guests should enter through the south doors on Broadway. The building is handicap accessible. Once taxpayers enter the building, signs will direct them to the interview room to sign up.
More information, including what to bring to a VITA session in addition to photo identification and Social Security cards, is available on the VITA website. Questions can be emailed to the program coordinator
