The first event of the 2013-14 season of the Maple Leaf Community Series will be “Oh What a Night!,” a musical tribute to Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, on Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. in the Kasch Performance Hall of Dahl Chapel and Auditorium.
Tickets are $25 at the door for the musical revue, which was written by Motown producer and creative consultant George Solomon.
“Oh What A Night!” thrills audiences with great choreography, boundless energy, humor and instantly recognizable classic pop songs that have become timeless. Songs such as “Sherry” and “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” as well as “Walk Like A Man” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” are just some of the many hits from the dynamic songbook of those boys from Jersey.
In 1990, Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The personable stars of “Oh What A Night!” stay true to the original recordings without trying to mimic or impersonate the group. The end result is a show as fresh and relevant today as it is nostalgic for the purists. The audience gets to know and love the four dynamic talents and cheer them on with each exciting, individual performance.
